Over in the States, there were three Englishmen starting in one game in the USL on Saturday night as Tampa Bay Rowdies hosted Penn FC. Despite taking the lead, the Rowdies who boasted Joe Cole and former Millwall defender Tamika Mkandawire lost 2-1 against a Penn side who had Harri Hawkins in defence. The result meant Hawkins’ side are now just a point outside the play-off spots in the Eastern Conference.
In the Norwegian fourth-tier, Valdres made it back-to-back wins in their hunt for promotion thanks to two assists from Kyle Spence.
